In May of this year, my life looked really different. I was working in Boston, commuting two hours in a beat-up Toyota, I was a homeowner in a different state, and my husband was slaving away in a job that I was sure was going to kill him.
Then June happened.
The hubs got a new job. In New Hampshire. It came with a house.
I got laid off. Bye bye puppets.
Someone rear-ended me into another car on the Pike, and my Toyota was totalled.
We rented one of those huge Budget trucks, shoved all of our belongings into it, put the house up for rent on Craigslist, and drove away. I cried the whole time, even though I hated the state of Connecticut and I spent most of my time living there anxious to leave.
We bought a Forester to replace the Toyota.
I spent about two weeks on unemployment, then I got two new jobs.
And before the month was over ... well ...
So you could say we've spent the fall trying not to die of shock.

What moving company did you hire for the big move? I hope everything turns out for you and your husband. Just keep your chin up and remember that life is supposed to change because how else would you encounter new experiences?
